Riquewihr, " the gem of the vineyard " is a very busy shopping aera.

A lot of wine growers' houses have been converted in shops.The Cellier
was born in 1977 in a sixteenth century building, the house belonged
to the shopkeepers' family. |

In
the first part of the shop Mr and Mrs Heinfling offer you a range of
traditionally-made goods, fabricated in Alsace.
Customers will be able to find pieces of pottery from Soufflenheim,
stoneware from Betschdorf, glassware and crystal from Hartzviller or
Portieux, etc. |

In the second part of the shop, table art and cellar goods are displayed
in an exeptional atmosphere. Pink stoneware walls and old beams are subtly
harmonized with contemporary furniture.

In November 2000, The Cellier was selected by a panel of
french professional judges to take part in the first GIA ( Global Innovator
Awards ). This competition is organised by the NHMA ( National Housewares
Manufacturers Association -USA ), an American association of arts table
makers. The aim is to reward the best art table shop in the world as far
as innovation and merchandizing are concerned.We got this award in France.
Then, our shop was selected at an international level in Chicago.
